Customer Customer

Our client, the Indian company “Raptakos, Brett and Company”, is considered one of the leading companies in this sector of the food industry in their country and is a great reference in the manufacture of baby food products.

Currently, the company exports over 40% of its production and it has divisions dedicated both to the pharmaceutical and the food industry.

Its head office is located in Mumbai, but the company has seven manufacturing plants distributed throughout various parts of India.

Project Project

In this case, the client needed a solution to the manufacturing process of baby food with powdered milk.

This process, named "Wet Mix Project” requires a fully automated system that enables the various ingredients to be mixed, the resulting solution spray-dried before the product is finally packaged for distribution.

During the same, around 10 tanks are involved, a large powder mixing unit and a complex structure of pipes requiring the perfect assembly of pumps, filters and other components, while at the same time maintaining them in a perfect state of cleanliness.

INOXPA solution INOXPA solution

To begin with, the client envisaged INOXPA as a supplier of mixing equipment given that they did not know that, in addition to equipment and components, our company could also offer integral solutions.

However after an initial meeting and after finding out about and analysing the client’s needs, INOXPA developed a customised offer with which to provide a comprehensive solution.

The project concept was developed while working hand-in-hand with the client and after a number of meetings and visits to their facilities, the automation system was finally designed and named the Wet Mix Project by the client, along with the manufacture of tanks, pipes and CIP systems to provide an installation fully adapted to their needs.

Installation characteristics Installation characteristics

The installation consists of mixing tanks and CIP equipment, systems with a high level of automation and control through PLC Allen-Bradley, with special redundancy requirements.

For this installation, components manufactured by INOXPA were used, such as centrifugal pumps, a blender, seat valves and mixproof valves, butterfly valves, filters and agitators.

Special features Special features

For INOXPA, the success of this project lies basically in the advantages of working in a team and relying on years of experience designing specific projects and integral solutions.
